Benenden School upgraded its tennis courts to LED floodlighting, achieving a 70% energy saving with instant illumination and full compliance with LTA standards.
Sports Lighting Upgrade
Benenden School, established in 1923, is a prestigious all-girls boarding school situated in Kent, England. Renowned for its dedication to holistic education, the institution combines academic excellence with a diverse array of extracurricular activities, creating an empowering atmosphere for young women.
The client's objective was to upgrade their tennis courts by transitioning to LED lighting. This modern solution offers immediate illumination, unlike older lamp technology, which could take up to 10 minutes to reach full brightness. This upgrade will not only improve playing conditions but also significantly lower energy consumption and maintenance costs, while adhering to LTA standards. By assessing the current infrastructure and partnering with EOS, the school ensured a smooth and efficient transition to this advanced lighting solution.
