Hazardous area environments — classified under DSEAR and the ATEX Directive — require luminaires that are certified to prevent ignition of flammable gases, vapours, mists or combustible dusts. Our hazardous area range includes Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22 certified LED luminaires that deliver high-performance illumination without compromise on safety.
Constructed from marine-grade aluminium and reinforced polycarbonate, our ATEX luminaires resist the corrosive chemicals, high ambient temperatures and mechanical impacts typical of oil refineries, chemical plants, paint shops, grain stores and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. T-ratings from T3 to T6 ensure surface temperature limits are maintained across all operating conditions.
Our technical team provides hazardous area classification support, helping M&E consultants and safety engineers select the correct luminaire for each zone classification. Every product ships with full ATEX certification documentation, installation guidance and is backed by our standard manufacturer warranty. Emergency variants with integral battery backup are available for Zone 1 and Zone 2 applications.
